2009 Membership Drive
Who are We and What Do the Friends of the Library Do?
The purpose of the Friends of the Library is to stimulate community awareness and use of the Library and to support the Library in developing its facilities.
What you may not know is that many of the Library programs are funded by the Friends such as the adult, youth and children’s programs. Funds raised supplement the library’s annual operating budget paying for books, furnishings and up-to-date equipment. As a non-profit organization, the Friends are eligible to apply for grants to support their activities and encourage gifts, memorials, and endowments. Please help us continue to fund these programs by joining the Friends of the Mayfield Library!
Our 2009 Membership drive is being held this year in conjunction with National Friends of the Library week which runs from October 19th through October 26th.

Our Mission Statement
It is our mission to help expand the library offerings, extend the library hours for public use, offer seminars, present programs featuring literature and the arts and support the new art gallery. We welcome any ideas that will help transform our MCS Library into a resource center that will become the hub of community interest and participation.
